With regards to your query concerning the carriage of Firearms and Ammunition on TT-Line Company Pty Ltd Vessels, the attached declaration must be completed if you do intend to travel with these items.

In accordance with the Maritime Transport Offshore Facility Security Act 2003, it is a serious offence for any unauthorised person to have in his or her possession any type of firearm or prohibited weapon when proceeding through a screening point within a Port Facility or whilst in a Maritime Security Zone. Penalties of up to seven year's imprisonment can apply on conviction.

(Maritime Security Guards are exempt under this legislation and have approval to handle firearms)

All passengers with firearms must complete the attached Firearm Declaration Form and send or fax it to TT-Line twenty -four hours prior to travelling. (Fax Number (03 64217489)

All firearms / ammunition must be surrendered to TT-Line Company Pty Ltd on arrival and carried in TT-Line Company Pty Ltd provided gun safes. Passengers with firearms are requested to check in at the TT-Line Terminal two hours prior to departure time to allow sufficient time for processing. All firearms will be surrendered at the screening point prior to boarding and loaded into the safes by passengers at their own risk.

All firearms / ammunition will be collected from Port Security Officers on arrival and disembarkation at the destination port on production of identification and baggage claim ticket stub.

NOTICE
State and Federal Police have requested that all Firearm Licence Holders carry their Licence with them at all times when travelling interstate

2. All Firearms are to be surrendered to Shore Security Officers for storage by owners prior to the voyage,

3.Firearms are to be collected from Shore Security Officers on arrival after disembarkation.

4.  Ammunition must be kept in a robust or solid container suitable for the purpose of travel and submitted to a Security Officer for storage prior to the voyage. Ammunition must be secure and on receipt at TT-Line Gun Safe it is to be tagged as [er 3(a) and (b) Ii)-(iii) and 4(a), (b) and (c).

5.  Ammunition will be transported separately in a locked container and should have the passengers name on the box or other distinguishing mark to identify the ammunition on arrival.
